Christian Foster Care

Navigation:

Capstone Foster Care is an Independent Fostering Agency looking for Christian foster carers, or carers available for fostering Christian children

To be able to foster Christian children, the same fostering requirements apply as when fostering any child:

  • Aged 21 or over
  • Have a spare bedroom for a child or young person
  • Are genuine about supporting children and young people to thrive
  • Are happy to foster children of all backgrounds, religions and cultures
  • Have the time to foster and flexibility to work around a child’s needs

Whether you are single or part of a couple, fostering is the perfect choice for a rewarding career that provides a loving and nurturing home to a young person in need. Find out more about the foster care requirements now.

Fostering Christian children

While it is more likely that Christian foster parents may be matched to foster a child of Christian background and culture, this is never guaranteed.

One of the keys to long term successful foster carers is having access to a good support network. When fostering Christian children, this network and plethora of support can be accessed from the church community – which adds a real family and community feel to both the children being fostered, and you as Christian foster parents. This is extremely important when raising a Christian foster child – it’s crucial that they feel in touch with their religious roots and connected to the church. Ensuring their cultural and religious needs are met will be extremely important to their overall intellectual and emotional development – and keeping the Christianity bond as strong as possible, even if you yourselves are not Christian.
