Capstone Foster Care have been building brighter futures for children by supporting foster carers for over 10 years.
We are proud to be supporting 100 foster carers in the North West, together with our expert team of staff, we have recently been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. This is a wonderful endorsement of our staff and carers and, the amazing work they do together in helping children and young people.
With over 14,500 children in care across the North West, we work with local authorities, spanning from Manchester City Council and Doncaster Council to Leeds City Council and, Cheshire West and Chester Council, to place children with our foster carers and their families to provide a secure and stable home.
As a member of the Capstone Foster Care family, our foster carers are provided with expert advice and guidance as well as training and support, 24/7 365 days.
Being part of the family means you automatically become part of our support groups because we know how important it is for our foster carers to get together and for our children and young people to feel part of the Capstone family. As one big happy family, we even have time to play in the park, enjoy ourselves at adventure playgrounds or go to a local theme park.

“Support to approved foster carers is exceptional.
Foster carers feel highly valued and part of the team providing support to children and young people.”
I am Bev Maymond, Registered Manager, Capstone North and I have worked with Children and Families for more years than I care to remember. However , I am still passionate about supporting foster carers who look after our children and young people when they need it most.
I am a mother of four grown up girls and I still recall how hectic that can be but also how interesting and joyful it can also be. I am so pleased you are part of the Capstone family and we can do this together.
I support our potential carers through the initial home visit stages of the assessment where I will discuss your aspirations to become a foster carer. I will provide you with more information about fostering and we’ll discuss the reasons why foster carers are needed and how it makes a difference to children in care. There’s nothing more rewarding than when you become an approved Foster Carers and help children and young people build brighter futures.
I’ve worked for Capstone Foster Care since January 2017, my first role within the company was a Placements Officer covering the Midlands region. I then went onto cover the North region as well as the South East.
I’m currently the Area Placements Manager for the North Hub which covers the Midlands, North and Excel regions, my role is to oversee the placement service of the teams within the North Hub with our carers and children at the heart of this. This has given me and my team the opportunity to work closely with our amazing foster carers up and down the country, matching some of societies most vulnerable children with our carers. Every young person deserves the chance to reach their potential, to live in a safe loving home making a genuine difference to their lives, this is something we do every at Capstone Foster Care.
In my past time I love following a variety of sports which include Boxing, Formula 1 and Cricket but Football is what I follow closest, I’m a huge Liverpool FC fan.
I am the placement officer for the North Hub and started working for Capstone In January 2020. My role is to find the best possible match for our foster carers and ensure we find children the very best home. I also keep in regular contact with all of the Local Authorities, building up some good relationships across the whole of the North Region.
I love to work closely with our foster carers to ensure I give them the support and information that they need, this really helps me make sure we have a good match and enables positive outcomes for our children. There is nothing more rewarding then finding children loving homes
Hi, I’m Rachel - a Placement Officer who works remotely covering the North Hub of Capstone Foster Care. This role gives me the opportunity to work across the Midlands, North and Excel Fostering.
I have plenty of experience as I have been a Placement Officer since 2015 but joined the Capstone Group in January 2022. I enjoy working as a Placement Officer as it means that I get to speak to lots of foster families and local authorities and help to find children & young people the homes that they need. It is great when I get to hear about placements that are really making a difference to young people’s lives, and I am proud to be part of the initial matching process in anyway I can.
