On Thursday 29th August, some of our South West carers met for a day of sun, sea, sand and dog walking at Uphill Beach, Weston Super Mare. The whether was kind and after a rather chilly and windy start, the morning brightened up allowing for a few games and stick designs on the beach before taking a well deserved lunch back at the Wharf café. The day provided an opportunity for our carers to get to know each other in an informal setting with the children forging new friendships… it was great to see! Capstone foster care value the important role our carers play in supporting, guiding and creating a safe environment for our children in their care. We recognise our carers involvement and influence alongside the importance of being able to spend quality time together as a family. Our carer events provide an opportunity for foster families to get together, build regional networks and most importantly have fun!
