Last week was National Storytelling Week, which is a week where children and adults are encouraged to read and tell stories. Each year, the awareness and interest in this week has grown and wherever the events take place, the web of stories will be spun with sufficient magic between the breath of the teller and the ear of the listener and is celebrated by all ages. Our team in the South East, decided to support this week by donating a selection of new books to 'Read for Good' whose mission is to improve the outcomes for all children across the UK. They feel that reading improves a child's emotional wellbeing, social mobility and their attainment and we couldn't agree more! By donating new, sealed books, we hope that children's hospitals and schools are able to use these to help children in anyway they can to enjoy reading and maybe one day they will become a storyteller.
