Our team in the Midlands organised a fantastic fun day during the summer at Cannock Chase in Staffordshire, to spend some much needed face to face time with our foster children and fostering families.
We had around 100 people join us, which was amazing, and the weather was gorgeous too. The activities for the children and young people included a bouncy castle, arts & crafts, designing t-shirts and caps, a face painter, mini zoo, football games and a beat box and rap artist. The face painter and the mini zoo were particularly popular with everyone and some of our children were very brave holding snakes, spiders, and other small creatures.
We hired a mobile catering van who provided everyone with burgers, hot dogs, wraps or jacket potatoes and hot and cold drinks. Our Area Director, Tim Clayton also attended the fun day and spent time meeting some of our foster carers, children and young people.
It was such a brilliant day. Everyone looked to be enjoying the outdoor activities and we received some lovely feedback from the children.
