Ryan’s Weekly Update: My first week at College!

11th September, 2020

This week I started my first week at college, I was excited to join and have really enjoyed my first week. I was also nominated for house rep which is amazing! This will be a great role for me to take on and I cannot wait for more exciting opportunities.

Monday: I had my functional skills session where I did some maths and learned about online safety which is important. After my functional skills session, I explored the local area and had a long walk. In the evening, I decided to cook sausages, mash and peas which was very yummy!

Tuesday: On Tuesday it was my day off, so I decided to tidy up my shower room and then have a lovely walk around the local area.

Wednesday: I had my first health and wellbeing session on Wednesday which involved planning what I would like to eat for my dinner. I decided I would like to eat fajitas and rice, so I went to the shops, bought the ingredients, and then cooked the delicious meal. It tasted great! In the evening, I played card games with my friends.

Thursday: On Thursday I went to work at Foxes hotel where I had my introduction day in the knowledge department. I also had my life skills lesson which involved planning what items I need to buy for my personal shop. After my sessions, I went for a walk around the local area and visited the shops.
