We have received a fantastic, recommended reading list for pride month, which explores the experiences and potential barriers faced by members of the LGBT South Asian community.
Within the South Asian community, coming out as LGBT+ can be particularly difficult for fear of family rejection, being disowned or forced into secrecy. This reading list is a must for those wanting to understand more about the complexities faced by members of the LGBT+ South Asian community, those exploring their sexuality to read other’s experiences of coming out as LGBT+ and most importantly to help anyone out there in a similar situation who may be feeling lost to know that they are not alone.
