Acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of children in foster care is something we love to do here at Capstone Foster Care. When a young person has been moved from everything they know to a completely new environment, there really is no such thing as a “small” achievement. Together, and in time with their foster carers; steps are made towards building confidence in themselves and gaining trust in those around them. Our foster carers are people from all walks of life, who find nothing more rewarding than seeing the wonderful children in their care thrive and grow.
A young girl, C placed with foster carers, L and D, has been having and is continuing to have a really difficult time at the moment. Despite this, C continues to make everyone so proud her. She has recently been preparing for an audition for the end of year 6 play and has managed to get one of the leading roles, Rafiki, which is incredible! C also entered the Easter garden competition earlier in the year, and didn’t just come first in her year, she came first in the whole school!
A huge well done C. Your foster carers, your social worker and well, all of us are so super proud of you. Keep going, we all believe in you and can’t wait to hear how you do in the school play.
