During October our South East team held a support group for our Unaccompanied Minors. We feel it’s incredibly important to understand how our young people are feeling and to make sure we are listening to their needs. Our children’s champions met with our young people at a lovely restaurant called Wazir (Afghanistan cuisine) and the focus of the session was about how they felt first being placed with a foster care family and reviewing the welcome flyer that they received from us at Capstone.
With suggestions such as less or larger text and more images, leaflets in multiple languages etc., which is great feedback we can take on board for the future. The feedback we receive from our young people is invaluable and we always appreciate when they come along to spend time with us and help us to support more young people.
